So far so good
First, I've tried other devices (Otofonix, MD Hearing) and these are superior to both of those. Customer Service is much better with Audien as well. I would mention to Kay that she must not be pushing the unit far enough into the ear canal. My first week I had the same problem she mentioned regarding not staying in the ear. Second week, I finally figured it out, you have to make sure they are seating far enough in to ensure no squealing noise and not having them fall out. Second, my charging units last all day, at least 10 hours, before I take them out to recharge. I'm still getting used to having something in my ear canal, but I'm getting more used to it each day (per the instructions included). I can hear the clicking of the keys on my keyboard, never heard that with Otofoix ($200) or with MD Hearing ($650). I'm looking forward to wearing these outdoors, but that's next week. I have been out on my porch and I can hear the wind in the trees, haven't heard that in years. As of Dec 1, 2020, these are a Godsend. Customer service is the best too.
I bought the set of hearing aids and they work great and sound natural. They are every thing that they say.
I only use the left right now. If I use one in the right it's to loud. I can hear fine from that ear.
I started going deaf 30 years ago, in my 50's, and am now profoudly deaf in my late 70's. I have owned both in-the-ear and behind-the-ear types. The behind-the-ear types can be very powerful but the in-the-ear types generally give better clarity of speech. The new Aidion units are in-the-ear, and give a quality of sound only slightly less good than a $9,000 pair that I tested recently. The in-the-ear design is a blessing when we have to wear masks, as are the rechargeable batteries that don't have to be replaced all the time. The under-$200 initial cost is fantastic as is the savings on batteries. The case functions as a recharger when plugged into a USB port. I only wish that the case came with a longer cord.
I'm so glad I purchased Aidion Hearing Aids. Thank you for allowing me to hear again at a price I could afford!!!
